Development of Pediatric Palliative Care

The primary objective of the Program is to support the sustainable operation and development of the Taskin Children’s Hospice, improve the conditions of stay and quality of life of children in need of palliative care, and provide support to their families.

Under the Program, the Foundation assists in providing the hospice with medicines, medical equipment, medical devices, consumables, and other resources necessary for the provision of high-quality palliative care to children.

In addition to supporting the Taskin Children’s Hospice, the Program contributes to the development of inpatient and mobile palliative care services for children with oncological diseases in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Main Areas of the Program

Under the Program, the Foundation may provide support in the following areas:

• purchasing medicines, medical equipment, medical devices, consumables, and other necessary supplies for the Taskin Children’s Hospice;

• supporting the equipping, development, and operation of the Taskin Children’s Hospice;

• improving the conditions of stay for children at the hospice and creating a comfortable, safe, and child-friendly environment adapted to their needs;

• supporting inpatient and mobile palliative care for children with oncological diseases;

• facilitating the development of mobile palliative care services;

• organizing and supporting training programs, professional development courses, and educational activities for healthcare professionals and other specialists involved in the provision of pediatric palliative care;

• facilitating the exchange of experience and the involvement of local and international specialists and experts in pediatric palliative care;

• conducting informational and educational activities aimed at increasing public awareness of pediatric palliative care and promoting an understanding of its objectives and principles;

• implementing other charitable projects directly related to the activities of the Taskin Children’s Hospice and the development of pediatric palliative care.

Principles for Providing Assistance

The priority of the Program is to support the operation and development of the Taskin Children’s Hospice.

Assistance under other areas of the Program is provided based on the needs of children and medical institutions, medical necessity and justification, the availability of the required documentation, and the Foundation’s financial capacity.

The Foundation does not replace or assume the functions of government authorities or medical institutions but provides charitable support within the scope of its statutory objectives and available financial resources.

Program Funding

The Program is funded through charitable donations from individuals and legal entities, targeted donations, grants, and other sources not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To support the activities of the Taskin Children’s Hospice and implement individual projects under the Program, the Foundation may raise targeted donations and launch charitable fundraising campaigns through the Foundation’s official website, payment platforms, and other information resources.

Funds raised under the Program are used to support the Taskin Children’s Hospice and implement other activities in the field of pediatric palliative care in accordance with the Foundation’s statutory objectives.
