The Foundation provides assistance with the purchase of medicines, blood products and endoprostheses; payment for surgeries and medical services provided within the Republic of Uzbekistan; and payment for diagnostic procedures (PET scans, immunohistochemical testing, MRI, etc.).
Important information: Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 21, 2024, No. PP-183 “On Measures to Further Improve the Provision of Medical Care to Children Suffering from Oncological, Hematological and Immunological Diseases.”
According to the Resolution, from July 1, 2024, patients aged 18 to 21 inclusive who suffer from oncological, hematological and immunological diseases shall continue to receive free medical treatment at the Center, the pediatric hematology and oncology departments of the National Children’s Medical Center, multidisciplinary children’s medical centers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions, as well as other medical institutions where they received medical care prior to reaching adulthood.
Initial applications are accepted for children under the age of 18. If the child has reached the age of 18 at the time the application is submitted, the application will be registered for statistical purposes but will not be accepted for consideration.
Repeat applications may be submitted for beneficiaries under the age of 25, provided that they have previously received assistance from the Foundation. Applications from persons aged 25 or older will be registered for statistical purposes but will not be considered.
Diagnosis. Assistance is provided exclusively to children with oncological and hematological diseases. If a beneficiary has previously received assistance from the Foundation but their diagnosis is not related to an oncological or hematological disease, the application will be registered for statistical purposes but will not be considered.
Targeted fundraising campaigns. A targeted fundraising campaign will be launched on the Foundation’s official website and social media pages for each beneficiary who meets the eligibility criteria. In exceptional cases, at the parents’ request, a fundraising campaign may be published without a photograph of the child. If the required assistance is fully covered by a targeted donation, the fundraising campaign will be registered and closed.
Remaining funds. Any funds raised for a specific beneficiary but not used by the beneficiary before they reach the age of 25 shall remain at the disposal of the Foundation and may be used for the Foundation’s statutory purposes.
The Foundation provides assistance with:
the purchase of medicines and medical supplies;
payment for surgeries and other medical services;
payment for diagnostic procedures, including PET scans, MRI, immunohistochemical testing, etc.;
endoprosthetic and exoprosthetic services.
The Foundation does not provide assistance for:
the treatment of diseases unrelated to oncology or hematology;
payment for intensive care services;
cash payments;
reimbursement of expenses for medicines already purchased or medical services already received.
The Foundation also does not provide assistance to persons who are not citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The following documents must be submitted when applying for assistance:
a copy of the child’s birth certificate;
copies of the parents’ passports. If one parent is absent due to death, divorce or other circumstances, the application may be submitted with a copy of one parent’s passport;
a medical report issued by the attending physician or an extract from the patient’s medical records;
a certificate from the mahalla committee confirming the family’s social status and need for financial assistance. The certificate must bear the signature and official seal of the chairperson of the mahalla committee and include a contact telephone number;
a letter from the management of the clinic where the beneficiary is receiving treatment recommending assistance with the purchase of medicines required for treatment. The letter must specify the attending physician’s name and contact telephone number. If it is not possible to obtain such a letter from the clinic, the applicant may provide a certificate issued by the attending physician specifying the recommended treatment and the need for financial assistance to cover it;
a completed application form for assistance.
the applicant’s consent to the use and processing of personal data;
the applicant’s consent to the use, for the Foundation’s statutory purposes, of funds raised in the child’s name but not spent;
confirmation that all information provided is true and accurate;
where necessary, a photograph of the beneficiary for publication on the Foundation’s official website and social media pages.
An application for charitable assistance may be submitted by the applicant at the Foundation’s office.
If funds raised through an individual targeted fundraising campaign on ezgu-amal.uz and in the relevant sections of payment platforms (Click, Payme, Uzumbank, Alif, etc.) are not claimed or used by the beneficiary for whom the fundraising campaign was opened, such funds may, at the Foundation’s discretion, be used to provide assistance to other beneficiaries or for other statutory purposes of the Foundation.
Applications are processed in the order in which they are received and are reviewed within 3 business days from the date of receipt by the Foundation.
The approved assistance shall be provided within 10 business days from the date the application is approved by the Chairperson of the Foundation’s Management Board.
A targeted fundraising campaign specifying the required amount will be opened for each beneficiary on ezgu-amal.uz or on payment platforms (Click, Payme, etc.).
In urgent cases where it is not possible to wait until the required amount has been fully raised through the specified digital platforms, or where other targeted funds are available in the beneficiary’s name, the Foundation may, subject to the availability of sufficient funds in its bank account, provide the requested assistance within 10 business days from the date the application is approved by the Chairperson of the Foundation’s Management Board. Once the required amount has been raised, the relevant fundraising campaign will be closed.
If a beneficiary’s application has been fully covered by a targeted donation—either made in the name of a specific child or allocated for a particular type of assistance being provided (for example, where a donor has allocated funds to cover all applications for endoprostheses)—the beneficiary will, for statistical purposes, be registered in the Foundation’s database and assigned a unique identification number (ID). A fundraising campaign will be opened for the beneficiary on the Foundation’s website and simultaneously closed because the required amount has already been fully covered.
