Eight amateur athletes from Uzbekistan, who united as part of a joint initiative between the EZGU AMAL foundation and the SUPER SPORT sports school community, have successfully completed the Aral Ultra marathon distance. Running along the Ustyurt Plateau to the shores of the Aral Sea, the athletes defied harsh climatic conditions and exhaustion to help children battling severe diseases. The runners dedicated every kilometer of the grueling route to the young patients.
To support the fundraising, during the days of the marathon, we also offered everyone the opportunity to purchase our project's branded t-shirts. We sincerely appreciate every such response. In charity, no contribution is too small—whether it is a large donation or buying merchandise, your involvement is a vital step toward a great goal.
Goal Update The "8 YURAK" project, which launched in the spring with a 270-kilometer ultramarathon in the sands of the Sahara, initially raised funds for a specialized pediatric ultrasound machine for the Center for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the medical center was able to successfully resolve this issue and purchase the equipment on its own!
Thanks to the support of our donors, the team has already managed to raise over 30,000,000 UZS. Since the need for the ultrasound machine has been met, we are redirecting this amount, as well as all current donations from the Aral Ultra marathon, to other critical needs of the National Children's Medical Center.
Now, our task is to provide pediatric surgeons with high-precision endoscopic instruments to perform complex, safe, and minimally invasive surgeries on children.
Fundraising is open for the purchase of the following three items:
Pediatric HOPKINS® Telescope (0°, 27017AA) Estimated cost: 32,250,000 — 45,150,000 UZS ($2,500 — $3,500).
Pediatric HOPKINS® Telescope (30°, 27017BA) Estimated cost: 32,250,000 — 45,150,000 UZS ($2,500 — $3,500).
Pediatric Cystoscope-Urethroscope Sheath (9.5 Fr) Estimated cost: 12,900,000 — 19,350,000 UZS ($1,000 — $1,500).
The sporting distance at the Aral has been covered, but the project continues. Support the "8 YURAK" project! Your donation will help us purchase this vital equipment faster and deliver it into the hands of doctors, turning athletic efforts into real help for children.
