On a charitable basis, the non-profit Philips Foundation is donating 25 mobile ultrasound machines to medical institutions across the Republic of Uzbekistan. This modern diagnostic equipment will allow doctors to conduct ultrasound assessments of a patient's condition directly at the point of care. The solution is ideal for providing aid in remote and hard-to-reach areas, at accident scenes, and in ambulances.
As part of the project, the equipment distribution is planned as follows:
2 ultrasound machines each will be sent to regional medical institutions;
3 ultrasound machines will be provided to the Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, and Clinical Immunology.
The donated ultrasound machines are portable, app-based devices consisting of a set of compact ultrasound transducers that connect to a tablet. The system's compactness gives doctors mobility and flexibility, enabling them to perform ultrasound diagnostics anywhere, anytime—even outside a medical facility when access to stationary equipment is unavailable.
⚠️ Important: The ultrasound machines are being provided without tablets. A tablet is an integral part of the system—it is essential for controlling the device, displaying images, and saving examination data. Without a compatible tablet, it is impossible to use the ultrasound machine.
To put the equipment into operation, it is necessary to purchase 25 compatible tablets that meet the manufacturer's technical requirements. The full specifications and a list of supported devices can be found here.
